Coaches who show up. Teammates who stick around.
Rebels Rugby is volunteer-led, coach-driven, and family-powered. Meet the people who run practices, guide the club, and keep every kid coming back.
Parents keep our teams running.
Every team has a manager, a volunteer parent who handles logistics so coaches can coach. Want to run your player's team? Email [email protected].
Fun & Fundamentals
Our youngest Rebels learn the game the way it should be learned, through running, passing, and fun. U8 is all touch, our front door to rugby. U10 and U12 add tackling step by step. Every team is coed, and coaches match training and matches by size, experience, and readiness, safety first.
Katie Haas
Coaching our youngest Rebels through rugby's front door, where it is all about running, passing, and fun. Full bio coming soon.
Elliott Franklin
On the touchline with our U8 crew, keeping first practices playful and welcoming. Full bio coming soon.
Josh Porter
Club President and U8 coach, on the touchline with his son Declan's team. Community first, on the field and off.
Andrew Marquise
Coaching U12, where real rugby clicks and the game starts to open up. Full bio coming soon.
U14 & U16
As players grow, the game grows with them. These groups build real rugby skills, fitness, and game sense. U14 is often true coed, placed by coaches together with families. U16 registers coed but trains and competes as separate girls and boys sides.
Greg Goodman
USA Rugby Hall of Fame inductee and USA Eagle number 213, coaching Rebels since 2021. His patience and calm make him a player favorite.
Grant Doubell
Rebels parent, club Treasurer, and U14 coach, focused on building a strong, sustainable club for our kids.
Damon Duncan
A rugby dad who is already family, now on the touchline. Three pillars: conditioning, fundamentals, and fun.
Robert Barrett
Leading our U16 boys with a focus on fundamentals, fitness, and rugby smarts. Full bio coming soon.
U19
Our oldest Rebels play 7s in the fall and 15s in the spring with SYRO. U19 girls and boys train and compete as separate sides, each with their own coaches, chasing the next level while keeping the culture that got them here.
Tim Swanson
Played at Life University and for the Gentlemen of Aspen, and coached Kennesaw State's women's club. A coach who builds rugby homes, not just rosters.
Griffin Hoard
Played for the Georgia Selects and club sides at home and abroad, and has coached with the Exiles. Focused on helping players reach their potential and building a strong rugby culture.
Rebels come home to coach.
Some of our best assistant coaches are former Rebels, and local college players lend a hand on the pitch too. It is the clearest sign of what this club builds: players who want to give the game back.
Fill-in coaches & assistants
Jacob Siler, Marilyn Duncan, and Rebel alumni Landon Lockhart (University of Kentucky) and Izzy Acklen (Georgia Tech) step in wherever a side needs an extra coach.
College players
Kennesaw State's Eric Marianacci, Nick Daniel, and Kirk Renshaw bring college-level reps to our sessions.

Every player in the right place.
Rugby is a game for every body, and putting a kid in the right group matters more than their birthday. Our coaches place players by skill, experience, size, and readiness, and a player may be approved to move up or down a grade for the right fit. Ages shown are September 1 eligibility.
Placed by readiness, not just age
Skill, experience, and size all factor in. The group that fits the player comes first.
Coaches and families, together
Move-up and move-down calls are made by coaches together with families. Unsure where your player belongs? Just ask.
Safety first, always
Every placement decision starts and ends with keeping players safe on the pitch.
Joshua Porter
Played eight seasons across the United States, Australia, and New Zealand, with three USA Rugby National All-Star selections. Now plays for the Exiles and leads Rebels as President, coaching his son Declan's U8 side.
Darren Redmond
A longtime Rebels family and former club Secretary, bringing governance continuity and years on the sideline.
Grant Doubell
Rebels parent and U14 coach, focused on building a strong, sustainable club for our kids as they grow.
Aubree Elmore
Rebels parent through her son's U8 team, keeping the club's systems and operations running.
Kim Siler
With the club since its 2017 consolidation, keeping every family informed and connected.
Respect
For opponents, officials, and everyone who shows up.
Teamwork
No kid plays alone. We work for the team.
Discipline
On the pitch, in school, in the community.
Sportsmanship
Win humbly. Lose with your head up.
Enjoyment
Play hard. Have fun. That is the whole point.
Rebels Rugby started in 2013 with our high school side, and elementary and middle school programs joined in 2015. A handshake partnership with the City of Roswell that began more than ten years ago still holds today, and it is why we have a home for our kids to play.
We are built on traditions as much as trophies: the Gear Exchange, the Roswell parade, the full-club barbecue, and the shared meal after every match. Come see what more than a decade of community rugby looks like.
